Gridding and flagging

Visualization of segmentation

Mapix® is a microarray image analysis software application that is both intuitive and easy to use, combining imaging and analysis tools for superior performance. Mapix® offers all the very latest features for rapid microarray analysis with a high degree of reliability and optimum productivity.

  • A highly efficient algorithm provides rapid, effective gridding through automatic spot searching and optimal grid alignment.
  • Automatic spot segmentation ensures high-quality experiment data by selecting relevant pixels and eliminating unwanted ones.
  • Gridding performance and quantification process are adapted to the high resolution of the InnoScan® 700 (3μm) and therefore to the size of images generated.

Multi-window interface

Mapix® gives users optimal data visualization and quick learning thanks to its highly interactive commands, with full correlation between displayed data, pictures and plots.

Mapix® offers maximum adaptability to users' evolving requirements.

  • Mapix® is compatible with a broad range of microarrays (Staggered/Orange Packing, Protein, aCGH, ...) from different suppliers, as well as custom-spotted microarrays, its gridding feature guarantees compatibility with all microarray formats.
  • Batch processing allows analysis of a large number of microarrays per day to boost productivity. (available since Version 3.0.0)
  • Automatic Flag Features permits to flag spots according to users' own queries. (available since Version 3.5.0)
  • Management of plugins enables users to integrate their own applications in Mapix. (available since Version 4.0.0)
  • Regular software updates are accessible on line to match users' evolving needs (updates are free for the 1st year).

InnoScan® 700 driving & Configuration Panel

Mapix® can be configured to provide full or modular automation of:

  • Innopsys scanner control
  • Configuration saving (Scan and analysis parameters)
  • Microarray barcode reading
  • Quality control by flagging

Visualization of exportable data

Mapix® is fully compatible with all industry-standard formats and platforms.

  • Mapix® supports GAL files and recordable transcripts in both text and GPR formats.
  • Images are saved as 16-bit TIFF images with all read parameters and can be copied in JPEG format.
  • Mapix® also supports image analysis of 16-bit TIFF files from a range of scanners.
  • Mapix® is platform-independent and runs on 32- and 64-bits Windows and Linux operating systems (Mac soon).
